Climate protection is one of the central tasks of our time. It is important to counteract global warming everywhere in the world. “Green meetings” are standard at the Congress Park Hanau (CPH). We orientate ourselves by the "fairpflichtet" guidelines, the sustainability code of the event industry.

Acting in an environmentally friendly manner

Doing business sustainably, getting involved socially

Regardless of whether a congress, trade fair, conference or cultural event is planned, whoever makes a reservation at the CPH takes environmental aspects into account. We check everything we do with regard to its impact on the environment, economy and society. All event management processes are optimised for sustainability. Sustainability is anchored in strategic management and is taken into account in all decisions.

The employees of the CPH integrate ecological and social aspects into the operational processes in many places. In this way, we conserve resources and make an important contribution to climate protection in accordance with the standards for sustainable event venues.

Wherever people come together, climate change is also an issue. Arrival and departure, heating or air conditioning at the event location, food and beverages, lectures and presentations — all these things cause emissions that have an impact on our climate. Those who do not ignore this problem are already taking the first step towards sustainable meetings.

The next step is to determine potential savings and implement the measures derived from this to reduce CO2 emissions. In cooperation with “natureOffice”, we offer organisers the option of calculating the CO2 emissions of their event in advance and offsetting the emissions determined through a climate protection project. Those who choose this option can advertise their event in advance with the “We organise in a climate-neutral way” logo.
